Por reglamento, el galard\u00f3n no puede ser p\u00f3stumo<\/p>\n<p>Cr\u00e9dito foto: AP<\/p>\n<p>El bi\u00f3logo celular, galardonado este lunes con el Premio Nobel de Medicina este lunes por su trabajo pionero sobre el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico, muri\u00f3 de c\u00e1ncer de p\u00e1ncreas el viernes pasado, a los 63 a\u00f1os, indic\u00f3 la Universidad Rockefeller, donde trabajaba.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSteinman falleci\u00f3 el 30 de septiembre\u00bb, dijo la universidad en un comunicado. \u00abSe le diagnostic\u00f3 un c\u00e1ncer de p\u00e1ncreas hace cuatro a\u00f1os, y su vida se alarg\u00f3 aplic\u00e1ndole una inmunoterapia basada en c\u00e9lulas dendr\u00edticas que \u00e9l mismo dise\u00f1\u00f3\u00bb, agreg\u00f3 la instituci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Steinman fue reconocido con el Premio conjuntamente con el estadounidense Bruce Beutler y el bi\u00f3logo franc\u00e9s Jules Hoffmann.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El repentino fallecimiento del cient\u00edfico canadiense Ralph Steinman pone a la Academia sueca ante un debate que no tiene precedentes.
