Con esta operaci\u00f3n, la entidad espa\u00f1ola se introduce en Turqu\u00eda, un pa\u00eds de 75 millones de habitantes considerado uno de los mercados emergentes con mayor potencial de crecimiento, indic\u00f3 la agencia de noticias DPA.  Para financiar la adquisici\u00f3n, el BBVA llevar\u00e1 a cabo una ampliaci\u00f3n de capital por 5.000 millones de euros mediante la emisi\u00f3n de acciones ordinarias.  El socio del BBVA en esta operaci\u00f3n es el holding industrial turco Dogus, hasta ahora era el accionista mayoritario del banco Garanti, que vendi\u00f3 a la entidad espa\u00f1ola 6,29 por ciento de su capital por un total de 2.062 millones de d\u00f3lares.
